Welcome to the official Daniel Green slipper blog! I didn’t know this until recently that “blog” is derived from term “weblog”. I’ve always thought it was a funny word and wondered how it originated, so there is a fun fact for you which probably already knew. Sorry to digress. If you are reading this blog, thank you. This blog will represent interesting facts about Daniel Green slippers and the brand’s rich history and just some fun things along the way that I find noteworthy and I hope you do, too!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Katie. I am the Marketing Director for Daniel Green slippers. I’ve worked in the footwear industry since I graduated college, which wasn’t that long ago, but feels like another lifetime. Working with slippers is a blast, especially for such a reputable slipper brand like Daniel Green. It’s tough to wrap my brain around it, but Daniel Green has been in existence since 1882. I mean I was born almost 100 years after the date of establishment of Daniel Green and here I am in 2009, almost 130 years later, playing a role in the tradition of quality, comfort, and style of Daniel Green for generations of women.
